What You'll Learn

  • SEE the whole child

  • UNDERSTAND the information and data

  • CONNECT with your school team

  • ACT strategically when support is needed

Week 1 — September 9: Start Strong

Know Your Child. Know Your Plan.

Start the year with a clear picture of your child's strengths, needs, and supports.

You'll learn how to:

  • Prepare for the transition back to school

  • Communicate what matters most about your child

  • Build a strong home-school connection

  • Create a "Meet My Child" one-page profile

  • Navigate anxiety, uncertainty, and back-to-school transitions

You'll leave with: a practical plan for starting strong.

Week 2 — September 16: Get Organized

Build Your Parent Command Center.

Stop searching through hundreds of emails and documents when you need information.

Learn how to organize and track:

  • IEPs and 504 Plans

  • Evaluations and assessments

  • School communication

  • Progress data and work samples

  • Meeting notes

  • Outside provider information

You'll also receive ready-to-use communication templates to help you connect with teachers and providers with confidence.

Special Guest Speaker: Alexandra D. Szabo, MA, LMHC. Alexandra joins this session for a practical conversation on organization, communication, connection, and collaboration — helping parents navigate the school year with greater clarity and confidence.

Week 3 — September 23: Know the Signs

When Is It Time to Ask for Help?

Not every struggle means something is wrong — but sometimes early signs matter. Using The Levy Way™, you'll learn to move from:

Concern → Observation → Information → Action

We'll explore:

  • What screening data can — and can't — tell you

  • Early signs worth paying attention to

  • Adjustment vs. potential concern

  • When to ask questions

  • When to request additional information

  • When additional support may be appropriate

  • When an advocate might help

And just as importantly: how to advocate without letting advocacy take over your life.

Is This For You?

This intensive is for parents who:

  • Have a child with an MTSS intervention plan, IEP, or 504 Plan

  • Have concerns about learning, attention, executive functioning, behavior, or social-emotional needs

  • Want a stronger start to the school year

  • Feel overwhelmed by school information

  • Want to communicate more confidently with their child's team

  • Want to be proactive instead of reactive

  • Aren't sure whether they need an advocate yet

You don't have to wait for a crisis. You just need to know what to look for, what questions to ask, and what to do next.
