About Stacey

With 20 years of diverse experience in education, Stacey Souza proudly serves as a trained and certified advocate at Levy Educational Advocacy. She holds a dual Bachelor's degree in Elementary and Special Education from Providence College, a graduate certification in the area of Literacy from Providence College, and is a National Board Certified educator.

Stacey has taught students from grades 2 through 8 with diverse educational and emotional needs. Her experience in elementary and middle school settings, as both a special and regular educator, has deepened her overall understanding of how to best meet individual student needs. Her ability to establish and maintain a positive rapport with families is a testament to her commitment to embracing the whole student.

As a special educator, Stacey has knowledge and expertise in creating, understanding, and implementing individualized educational plans that address the needs of diverse learners. As a regular educator, Stacey consistently collaborated with colleagues to meet the needs of her inclusion classroom. Her true understanding of differentiated instruction using a tiered approach, enabled students from various backgrounds to find comfort and success within her classroom. Stacey’s calm and confident demeanor within meetings helps all parties feel comfortable and open to conversations.

Her Advocacy Work

Stacey discovered her passion for advocacy while advocating for the needs of her youngest son. As a mom of two teenage boys, she has been through the educational system as both a parent and an educator. She is dedicated to advocating for and empowering students and families to ensure they reach their full potential and become successful, lifelong learners.
