About Ashley
Ashley has 10 years of experience as an educator both in the United States and internationally. She has a Master’s degree in Language and Literacy, focusing on adolescent literacy (grades 4-12) and bilingual reading development. Ashley holds professional teaching licensures in Mild to Moderate Disabilities (Pre-K–8), Elementary (1-6), and English as a Second Language (Pre-K–6).
Ashley was a proud Boston Public Schools teacher throughout her teaching career, first starting as a Special Education teacher. After serving as a teacher, Ashley transitioned into the role of Regional Director of Special Education for KIPP Massachusetts for Elementary and Middle schools. In this role, she prioritized working closely with families to develop responsive IEPs, improving compliance procedures, ensuring evaluations were linguistically responsive to students across the region, designing and supporting the implementation of robust Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) processes, and developing linguistically inclusive interventions for multilingual learners with disabilities.
Ashley's advocacy is rooted in understanding the needs of the whole child, close partnership with families as experts on their children, her unwavering belief that K-12 education should unlock possibilities for students once they graduate, and that progress happens through close collaboration among all stakeholders.

Allison has worked on advocacy cases in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and internationally, and is expanding her reach throughout the United States.
